Visit to CARES

Did you know that Singapore and Cambridge are collaborating on carbon reduction research?

If you're keen to learn more, the Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education in Singapore (CARES) and its Director, Professor Markus Kraft, have kindly agreed to host members of Oxbridge Singapore to a visit on 21 September.

This visit will provide an overview of the motivation for a carbon reduction research programme between Singapore and Cambridge, and include a tour of the labs and demonstrations of some of the best outputs of the programme to date. It will conclude with a networking drinks reception.

About CARES: The Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education in Singapore Ltd (CARES) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the University of Cambridge, funded by the National Research Foundation, as part of CREATE (Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise) and hosts a number of research collaborations between the University of Cambridge, Nanyang Technological University, the National University of Singapore and industrial partners.

About C4T: The Cambridge Centre for Carbon Reduction in Chemical Technology (C4T) is the first interdisciplinary research group administered by CARES. Set up to tackle the environmentally relevant and complex problem of assessing and reducing the carbon footprint of the integrated petro-chemical plants and electrical network on Jurong Island in Singapore, the programme brings together researchers from Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Information Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Metallurgy.
